A small, full-service market for
downtown Muncie and beyond, The Downtown Farm Stand
offers a seasonal selection of meat, dairy, eggs,
produce, bulk foods and canned goods from Indiana’s
finest farms and regional producers. The store also
offers safe and natural cleaning products, personal
hygiene products, and eco-friendly paper products.
The Downtown Farm Stand is an LLC partnership between
myself and Tom Gordy. We are going to uphold strict
sustainable and organic standards and we will ALWAYS support and give preference to
area local sustainable and organic farmers. This all
began because Tom and I are farmers and as area organic
farmers we’ve needed an outlet locally for a very long
time. It is obviously difficult to sell your products
when you are excluded from area stores.
Because the downtown community needs a grocery store
with all of the staples, we will fill in gaps with
products from Organic Valley from Wisconsin, and Eden
Foods from Michigan, as these companies have regional
production, and are companies that are truly upholding
strict standards and paying farmers what they deserve.
